Green Chalice Project - Winter
Feed The Birds
Making a pinecone bird feeder is an inexpensive, easy, and eco-friendly DIY project that provides essential high-energy food for birds during winter. These feeders encourage, stimulate, and educate children about nature, while also helping birds find food when resources are scarce. They are natural, biodegradable, and support local wildlife.
Instructions can be found below, or we have printouts available at the church.

Green Chalice Project - Spring
Planting Seeds
lanting flowers as part of the Green Chalice initiative at First Christian Church of Medina is a meaningful way to live out our call to care for creation. Flowers not only beautify our church grounds, but also support pollinators like bees and butterflies, helping to sustain local ecosystems. This simple act reflects a deeper spiritual commitment—nurturing life, practicing stewardship, and creating spaces that inspire peace and connection with God’s creation. By tending to the earth together, we embody the Green Chalice mission of faithful environmental action and model for our community how small, intentional choices can make a lasting impact.
